– PROFILE –

Robin has been with Cavanagh LLP since joining as a summer student in 2013. She practices primarily in the areas of insurance defence litigation with a focus on defending professional liability claims. Robin has appeared before the Court of Appeal for Ontario, the Ontario Superior Court of Justice, the Ontario Court of Justice, and the Ontario Small Claims Court. She has also successfully defended several applications for leave to appeal to the Supreme Court of Canada.

Robin is currently the President of the County of Carleton Law Association (“CCLA”). Originally founded in 1888, the CCLA is Ottawa and Eastern Ontario’s leading association for the professional legal community and the second largest law association in the province. Robin has been a proud member of the CCLA since 2013 and a board member since 2019. She also is a co-chair of the CCLA’s Membership Committee.

Robin is also a proud alumnus of the University of Ottawa, Faculty of Common Law, where she graduated, magna cum laude, in 2014. Robin has recently returned to the law school where she teaches civil trial advocacy.

When Robin is not reading case law, you can find her spending time outside – preferably when it is sunny and she has a good book and a better beverage in hand.
